Bringing more clean power to communities

30 April 2026

Clean Energy Link – North (CEL – North) is a vital upgrade to Western Australia’s electricity network that will give local communities and businesses greater access to clean, affordable and reliable power.

The project is underway, with construction progressing along a 354kilometre route from Malaga to Three Springs, strengthening the network between Perth and the Mid West. By upgrading transmission lines and substations, CEL – North will allow more renewable energy to flow to homes and businesses.

Once complete, the project will make existing wind power and new renewable energy available to customers — enough to power around 500,000 WA homes. This means a stronger power supply to meet growing community needs, support new homes and industries, and create longterm benefits for the State.

On track for completion in late 2027, CEL - North will help support WA’s growing communities by expanding energy supply, creating local jobs and upskilling today and tomorrow’s workforce.
