Power upgrades are coming to Mandogalup and Hammond Park
Western Power is installing new infrastructure in the growing Mandogalup and Hammond Park area to provide reliable power and meet future residential supply needs.
This project is part of the Housing and Infrastructure Growth Program, which is a Federal and State Government initiative. The project includes the installation of new underground cabling and primary equipment to support new housing development.
The project works are scheduled to start in mid-2026 and finish by mid-2028.
Scope of works
The project involves installing 9.25km of underground cable from Cockburn Cement Substation on Holmes Road to connect new housing developments at Mandogalup, south of Wattleup Road and Hammond Park, north of Wattleup Road.
The cable route will be located along the following roads:
- Moylan Road
- Wattleup Road
- Frankland Avenue
- Whadjuk Drive
- Irvine Parade
- Mokare Entrance
- Quartermaine Boulevard.
