Power upgrades completed in Malaga

Western Power has successfully installed new infrastructure in the growing Malaga area to provide reliable power for new development and meet the community's future supply needs.

This Malaga project is part of the Housing and Infrastructure Growth Program, which is a Federal and State Government initiative. The project included the installation of new underground cabling and primary equipment to support new housing development.

The project works, which began in early December 2025, are now complete.

Scope of works

The project involved installing 500 metres of underground cable along Beechboro Road North, Whiteman, to unlock 400 additional housing lots near the Ballajura Station precinct.
